Critically Endangered Orangutan Born At Twycross Zoo

Another new born baby for Twycross zoo! The rare and critically endangered Bornean orangutan baby was born on 27th of March 2017 to mother Maliku and dad Batu at the Twycross Zoo, Atherstone, Warwickshire England. Only 4 days old today!
Maliku, the third time mum, is showing off her little one by bringing it outside and into the sun. She’s collecting the wood shavings to make a bed for both of them. Lying there in the sunshine, she’s caressing the babys hand. Later, the dad, Batu is having a quick look.
