Gorilla Baby Is getting More Adventures – Brother Lope Is Watching

https://youtu.be/i8HtJ6J0EV4

Back outside again with this video of the mum Ozala , the 6 month old baby and of course the lovable brother Lope.
Lope is ‘dancing’ around mum and baby. Then the little one is getting more adventurous and strays away from mum. Not too far from Lope! When the brother tries to get closer, mum is quick to react to take the infant back in her arms.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for everybody watching and all the great comment! It’s great to see that so many of you love Lope as much as I do. He’s such a great funny character.

https://youtu.be/BMnkMLg5eZw

The adorable critically endangered northern white cheeked gibbon baby is trying to find mums tit to suckle. The infant was born at the Twycross zoo only a week ago.
The Females are a cream colour, and males are black.
An interesting fact is that all babies are born with a cream colour, and will change to black after about one to two years! When they reach sexual maturity, between between 7-8 years, males remain black and females change back to their cream colour!

Another video for the Lope the Gorilla youngster series. This time from inside the enclosure at Twycross Zoo. Lopes mother is still very protective of the little one. She has the baby in a separate room and Lope is trying to get in there at all costs, but mum is having none of it and keeps pushing him back out. Even when Lope tries to just gently roll into the door, mum throws him back out.
More Lope footage to come!

These two black tailed Prairie Dog from the Twycross Zoo in Atherstone England show why they have so many battle scars. After one is getting covered in sand by the other one, they’re having a stand-off followed by several fights. Please note: I looped the first fight scene and slowed it right down.
